Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled professional to undertake and manage security clearance processes for staff through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) in accordance with minimum standards set by the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

About the Role:

  • Maintaining accurate records of security clearance holders and positions requiring a security clearance.
  • Liaising with stakeholders and government agencies, including AGSVA.
  • Conducting thorough eligibility and suitability checks to satisfy PSPF requirements in relation to pre-employment screening, as well as ongoing suitability assessments.
  • Providing security inductions and overseas travel briefings as needed.
  • Assisting in the management of security clearance withdrawals during the separation process.
  • Reporting responsibilities to AGSVA, including actions related to APS Code of Conduct and significant changes to personal circumstances.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian Government's Protective Security Policy Framework, particularly in relation to personnel security.
  • Ability to work effectively individually or within a team environment.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • A Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in security vetting is highly desirable.
