About the Role

The Operations Manager will be a central point of contact, representing the company professionally. Key responsibilities include managing financial outcomes, providing monthly work-in-progress reports, and controlling operational expenses within allocated resources.

The role requires coordinating operational goals, processes, and deadlines. Additionally, the Operations Manager will research new commercial opportunities, provide recommendations to increase market share, and enhance revenue from existing market segments.

Key performance indicators include reviewing monthly reports to measure and evaluate performance, identifying continual improvement opportunities, and developing plans to implement.

The Operations Manager will also establish minimum quality standards, implement training and reporting mechanisms, and act as a technical advisor on key projects and other areas of the business.

Other responsibilities include leading the work to ensure supply of quality products that meet and/or exceed customer expectations, reviewing operations workload to meet customer demand, and demonstrating safe work behaviours.

The Operations Manager will lead site investigations of all significant safety and environmental incidents, confirm corrective actions addressing root causes are in place and completed, and establish effective safety training plans and programs.

Ongoing tasks include developing and implementing inventory stock plans, establishing processes to maintain ongoing market intelligence and data, and ensuring adequate regular feedback mechanisms are in place from customers back into the business.

About You
  • A relevant degree in business, trade, operations or an equivalent field
  • At least 7 years' experience as an Operations Manager, Business Development Manager or similar role
  • Understanding of automotive, caravans or machinery sales highly regarded
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of project, business and financial management
  • Experience in both working independently and within a team
