The role of a Senior Underwriter in the Major Accounts Division is to contribute to the development and achievement of business goals for all classes of Financial Lines products. The position involves working closely with senior technical underwriters, brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders at all levels to deliver profitable transactions.

A key responsibility of the Senior Underwriter is to assist in positioning and negotiations associated with delivering financial plans for all applicable product lines within the division. This includes utilising appropriate endorsements and applying adequate pricing structures.

Another critical aspect of the job is to follow established underwriting guidelines for Financial Lines products and determine acceptability of new lines and renewals within the scope of delegated authority.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a high degree of technical underwriting ability, strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as experience in developing marketing plans and handling complex accounts.

You will also need to possess knowledge of Chubb's global capabilities and financials, as well as the ability to communicate that information to existing or new customers at all levels.

Familiarity with Microsoft systems, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is also highly desirable.
