We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a career coach. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to explore their career goals, build confidence and support them into meaningful employment.

You will understand the strengths and aspirations of each client, offer tailored coaching, link them to opportunities, and collaborate with employers to open doors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create sustainable career pathways for clients by sourcing and matching them to suitable roles.
  • Promote inclusive employment practices, focusing on people with disability, injury or health condition.
  • Engage with employers to address skill shortages through role carving and inclusive recruitment.
  • Broker work experience to build participant skills and assess employer/client compatibility.
  • Prepare workplaces to support and retain participants via adjustments and disability confidence training.
  • Facilitate employer training to boost disability awareness and inclusion.
  • Build networks to create job opportunities.
  • Promote Breakthru's values of inclusion, empowerment and person-centred practice.
  • Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment barriers faced by people with disability, injury or health conditions.
  • They will be skilled in providing tailored support and developing client-focused employment plans.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
