A rapidly expanding financial services organization is seeking an experienced risk and compliance professional to drive the development of its risk management frameworks.

Job Description

This is a foundational role with the opportunity to shape the organization's risk culture and governance structures from the ground up. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership to define the organization's risk appetite and ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements, including NCCP and RG209 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, maintain, and oversee risk and compliance frameworks across credit, operational, conduct, data/privacy, and reputational risk.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify, assess, and manage business risks.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior executives.
  • Promote a proactive, risk-aware culture across the business.
  • Lead a high-performing risk and compliance team.
  • Provide trusted advice on regulatory and governance matters.

The successful candidate will possess strong risk and compliance experience in financial services, preferably in consumer lending. A proven leader with a pragmatic approach to managing risk and a solid understanding of relevant regulations is required. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
