We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a key role in our project and cost management team. As an Estimator, you will work closely with experienced teams to gain industry knowledge, develop your skillset, and expand your perspective.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful contribution to our organization's success. You will be responsible for analysing external contractor bids, creating estimates and cost plans, evaluating cost plans and project scopes, and maintaining a library of current local rates.
- Analyse external contractor bids to ensure client value for money
- Create accurate and detailed estimates and cost plans for key projects
- Evaluate cost plans and project scopes to identify areas for improvement
- Maintain a comprehensive library of current local rates for use in all estimates
- Optimize project costs to achieve budget targets through effective cost reviews and value engineering
- Provide expert estimating guidance throughout the design and construction stages of projects
- Build strong relationships with partners across the business to drive collaboration and trust
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as an estimator or quantity surveyor
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
