Job Summary

Pact Group's Contract Manufacturing Division manufactures across several operational sites and supplies a wide range of homecare and Personal-Care categories to major retailers and global brand owners.

About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Officer to join our Supply Chain team. As a key member, you'll be responsible for monitoring and replenishment of packaging and raw materials on a timely basis for the Personal Care business.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Monitoring stock levels and proactively identifying purchasing requirements.
  • Running relevant SAP reports to action rescheduling and cancellations of POs.
  • Occasional negotiation of terms/pricing, arranging quotations as required, and processing invoices for import and local purchasing.
  • Participating in cycle meetings to ascertain production, NPD, and customer requirements.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing new processes within the purchasing function.
  • Adequately managing and reviewing excess/obsolete stock levels.
  • Ensuring suppliers adhere to performance levels.
  • Liaising with the accounts team to coordinate supplier payments schedules/agreements.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A visible and demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain/Finance or a related discipline are highly desirable.
  • A working knowledge of MS Office (Excel - Intermediate) and SAP is essential.
  • The ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • A can-do attitude, a deep sense of ownership, and an unflinching desire to see a task through to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt to your audience.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with high attention to detail and accuracy.
