Job Title: Infrastructure Engineering Leader

The role of an Infrastructure Engineering Leader is to provide strategic direction and technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams on large-scale, city-shaping sustainable mobility projects and transport infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has experience in managing diverse teams, driving value engineering outcomes, and supporting the development of projects from initial pre-contract activities through to delivery. They will participate in risk profiling, strategic planning, and feasibility studies for multiple projects, while fostering a culture focused on customer experience within the senior leadership group.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead teams to integrate technical knowledge across project teams and delivery partners to ensure clear understanding of engineering fundamentals.
  • Support staff growth by challenging and mentoring them based on strengths, career aspirations, and business needs.
  • Model organizational values, exercise judgment, initiative, and professionalism.
  • Built relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including clients, delivery partners, consultancy partners, and other organizations.
  • Communicate complex information clearly to influence stakeholders.
  • Develop collaborative solutions and provide technical advice considering key issues and drivers.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate time and cost impacts.
  • Oversee design reviews and develop technical solutions to build upon reference designs.
  • Forecast future resourcing needs and contribute to recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Manage commercial frameworks and processes including contract administration, risk analysis, and reporting.
  • Identify and quantify contract scope changes and present findings to the client.
  • Evaluate compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and processes.
  • Promote health, safety, environmental, and community responsibilities within project teams.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Extensive experience as an Infrastructure Engineering Manager.
  • Able to lead, inspire, and motivate diverse teams.
  • Skilled at identifying key stakeholders and engaging their support.
  • Advanced influencing, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to establish productive relationships.
  • Knowledge of and alignment with organizational values.
