Catering Team Member Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and caring Catering Assistant to join our team at St James Villa Matraville.

As a member of the Catering team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food and providing exceptional dining service to our residents, ensuring a high quality of life.

About the Role:

  • Providing resident meal service, including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining experience, and supporting residents as required.
  • Maintaining a cooperative team spirit by supporting your peers.
  • Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues, and residents, adhering to all policies and procedures.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for delivering high-quality care to the elderly.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • A Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent qualification (desired but not essential).
  • A good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene.
  • Sophisticated interpersonal skills with experience interacting with diverse individuals.
  • The ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with residents and their families.
  • NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain.
