Housing Support Worker

This position plays a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals in need of housing and shelter services.

As a Housing Support Worker, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of clients and developing personalized support plans to address their housing and shelter requirements. This may involve working with clients to identify potential barriers to accessing stable housing and developing strategies to overcome these challenges.

Additionally, you will provide one-on-one counseling and support to help clients achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being. You will also work collaboratively with other service providers and community organizations to ensure that clients receive comprehensive support and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess client needs and develop personalized support plans
  • Provide one-on-one counseling and support to help clients achieve their goals

Requirements:

  • Diploma in a related human/social service field
  • Minimum of one year recent related experience
  • Basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Training in or knowledge of non-violent crisis intervention techniques and harm reduction approach
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative and creativity
