**Technical Training Specialist Role**We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Training Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our training group, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering technical training programs that meet the needs of our apprentices.The successful candidate will have trade qualifications in their respective discipline and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. They will also have minimum 5 years of trade experience and demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Vocational Education and Training Sector.Job ResponsibilitiesThis full-time position involves leading a team of technical trainers in the development and delivery of training programs. You will be responsible for maintaining competency records, working closely with trade managers to identify and prioritise training needs, and ensuring that all employees are appropriately licensed and have access to relevant training.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of training professionals through excellent coaching, mentoring, performance management and ongoing technical training
  • Support the Trade Training Timetables and apprentice rotations to deliver on the required training outcomes of the business whilst ensuring supervision ratios are met
  • Ensure all employees are appropriately licensed and hold the relevant tickets required to perform the work as per their trade discipline
  • Drive a performance and safety culture through setting and monitoring standards and performance goals
  • Manage and input data regarding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Trade qualifications in your respective discipline and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
  • Minimum 5 years of trade experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Vocational Education and Training Sector
