Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to provide expert advisory services in security strategy, governance, risk, audit, and compliance.

This role requires a strong technical background and ability to work in high-complexity environments.

About the Role:
  • Provide broad range of advisory services, covering security strategy, governance, risk, audit, and compliance topics
  • Conduct security threat and risk assessments, develop security strategies and roadmaps, and review solution/design artefacts
  • Develop and refine policies, standards, principles, and strategies, and assess their effectiveness
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, service providers, tools, platforms, and applications for specific needs of an organization
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver multiple consulting projects at a high quality, often under pressure, while developing strong relationships with customers
  • Take ownership and lead cybersecurity engagements with minimal guidance, providing coordination of others
  • Assist organizations through ISO 27001 certification and/or SOC 2 attestation, conducting risk assessment and proposing mitigating controls
Requirements:
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset, particularly when it comes to technology and business risk
  • Self-starting team mentality, taking ownership and leading cybersecurity engagements with minimal guidance
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Awareness of Australian and international privacy regulations
  • Awareness of the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act and its obligations
  • Experience considering security practices for AD & Azure/AWS/GCP environments
Education:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree is a plus
