About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Citrix Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team at Robert Walters Australia. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining and enhancing our Citrix infrastructure.

Your primary responsibility will be overseeing our financial Citrix environments, ensuring their security, troubleshooting any arising issues, and deploying business applications. You will also be tasked with proactive monitoring of the Citrix environments to prevent potential issues from impacting end-users.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the company's Citrix environments, including monitoring, reporting, and maintenance tasks.
  2. Ensure the security of the Citrix environment by configuring policies and monitoring for breaches.
  3. Troubleshoot issues by working with end-users, analysing system logs, and liaising with vendors.
  4. Package and deploy business applications to the Citrix XenDesktop environment.
  5. Monitor Citrix environments proactively to identify potential issues before they impact end-users.
  6. Create and maintain documentation related to the company's Citrix environments.
  7. Provide technical support to end-users for Citrix-related issues.
  8. Identify opportunities to optimise Citrix environments and implement solutions.
Requirements
  1. Tertiary qualification in IT or relevant work experience along with Citrix certifications.
  2. 3-5 years experience in a similar role in Citrix operational support.
  3. Knowledge in Citrix technologies including NetScaler, XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix Cloud.
  4. Experience in Active Directory, OS technologies, and Group Policy Management.
  5. Knowledgeable in VMware vCenter Virtualisation and Application layering and packaging.
  6. Experience managing a virtualised environment using industry-leading management tools.
  7. Exceptional communication and customer service skills along with a strong work ethic.
  8. Strong written documentation skills with the ability to liaise with both technical and business stakeholders.
