About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at the Brighton Beach Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run the pass during busy service times to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of dishes to surpass guest expectations
  • Support the Head Chef with menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
  • Create and manage staff rosters
  • Manage food safety and ensure adherence to compliance and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
  • Ability to lead effective teams and build a positive culture
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Operational experience to achieve financial and business targets
  • Trade Cooking qualifications
  • The desire to be part of a fun, productive, and professional team
