Chief Operations Officer

As a business leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an accounting services firm. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional looking to take on new challenges and drive growth in a dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in managing similar firms and will possess strong financial reporting and compliance expertise. They will also have solid knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage internal administration and operational functions to meet client expectations.
- Prepare monthly reporting and statutory compliance for the business.
- Liaise and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee administration and finance teams, ensuring ongoing training and development.
- Deliver HR support duties, recruitment, performance reviews, and OHS compliance.
- Process payroll, super guarantee payments, and associated obligations.
- Prepare annual budget and management reports.
- Manage IT infrastructure with an external provider and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement a marketing plan.
- Attend to practice administration tasks.
- 5+ years of experience managing a similar firm.
- Tertiary qualifications, ideally CPA or CA.
- Strong financial reporting and compliance expertise.
- Solid knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements.
- High-level ability using Xero and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
