Job Role

Executive General Manager for Performance, Risk and Strategy is a senior executive leadership position that plays a pivotal role in driving organisational success.

About the Job

This high-profile role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and forms part of the Executive Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a division that oversees various key functions including Actuarial Services, Data Analytics, Strategic Value Realisation, Strategy and Research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead high-performing teams to achieve ambitious organisational goals.
  • Drive performance through effective risk management, enabling agile and informed decision-making.
  • Hold formal accountability to the Board's Risk Committee as Chief Risk Officer, ensuring robust enterprise risk management practices.
Requirements and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced executive leader with a strong track record in business performance, strategy, enterprise risk and data science or related disciplines. A background in insurance or a similar complex, regulated environment would be highly advantageous.

A deep understanding of the public sector context is essential. Your ability to generate strategic insights from complex data, lead high-performing teams and deliver measurable value will position you as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, Board and key stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Post-graduate qualifications are desirable, along with demonstrated experience in regulated environments.
  • Leadership should reflect thought leadership, systems thinking and a commitment to public value.
