About the Role:

The Personal Care Assistant is a vital member of our dedicated care team at Respect Aged Care. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide competent personal care, support, and assistance to all residents under the direction and guidance of the senior clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.
  • Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required.
  • Record observations on relevant assessment charts and documents any observed exceptions to the care plan in the progress notes; and reports such to the EN/RN.
  • Check residents daily menu requirements.
  • Attend to duties as allocated and or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward duties.

Requirements:

  • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
  • Relevant Certificate III Qualification.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in residential aged care.
