About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Claims Specialist to join our team at Allianz Australia Services Pty Ltd. As a Senior Property Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and managing property claims to ensure timely and fair outcomes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge of property claims and insurance principles to ensure accurate and efficient assessment and management of claims.
  • Liaise with customers, repairers, and other stakeholders to drive timely decision-making and claim outcomes.
  • Assess indemnity, liability, and costs associated with claims, and validate building and remediation scope of works.
  • Review building and remediation cause of damage reports, including geotechnical and structural engineering reports.
  • Identify defects and non-compliance repairs utilising Australian Standards and National Construction Code.

Requirements

  • Building Trade Qualifications and/or Loss Assessor qualification through ANZIIF.
  • Extensive property assessing and customer service experience.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of theories and practices of Insurance and loss.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks, and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting, and communication tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
