Job Overview

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our team. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding, and assembling mechanical components, including longwall roof supports, gearboxes, and hydraulic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and assemble mechanical components including longwall roof supports, gearboxes, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and testing of longwall systems and components.
  • Work closely with workshop supervisors and leading hands to meet build schedules and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and workshop procedures.
Requirements
  • Australian trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting, preferably with exposure to longwall mining equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
