Job Role

We are seeking an experienced Subcontract Specialist to join our team in Perth CBD, Australia and Asia Pacific West.

This is a 6-month contractor role with the option to become permanent full-time or part-time.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will report directly to the Contracts Lead and be part of a dedicated client contract team.
  • Execute specific aspects of subcontract execution and quantity surveying as required.
  • Provide guidance to junior specialists and associates.
  • Coordinate project subcontract operations and interface activities according to company and project requirements.
  • Perform post-award subcontract activities during the construction phase.
  • Field administer construction and services contracts in line with corporate and project requirements.
  • Monitor progress and ensure timely updates in reports and systems.
  • Escalate critical issues and risks to the Contracts Lead.
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Commerce or Supply Chain/Logistics.
  • RICS qualification or industry equivalent.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Heavy Industrial sectors of the Construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in industry best practices supply chain principles and techniques.
  • Detailed knowledge of suppliers, commercial evaluations, negotiations, terms and conditions of contract and industry forms of subcontract.
  • Good experience with computer systems such as ERM and SAP.
  • Commercially astute with a solutions mindset and sound risk management aligned with safety and commercial requirements.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
