Behaviour Support Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team and provide vital support to individuals with disability.

  • You will engage with NDIS participants to comprehend their goals, desires, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including families, schools, medical, and allied health professionals, accommodation providers, and support workers.
  • Gather data through assessments, observations, and interviews.
  • Develop behaviour support plans, providing training and coaching to NDIS participants and their networks.
  • Select clients based on your interests; we support participants of all ages, with diverse disabilities and needs.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with NDIS participants to understand their goals, wants, and needs.
  • Collaborating with teams to create behaviour support plans.
  • Designing and implementing behaviour support plans.
  • Providing training and guidance to NDIS participants and their support networks.
  • Enhancing professional practice through regular mentoring and peer supervision sessions.

This is a contract position offering flexible hours, a competitive hourly rate, and superannuation. You will have the opportunity to work from home and support clients remotely or in-person.

The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications and/or experience in psychology, ABA, speech therapy, occupational therapy, counselling, criminology, disability, education, mental health, music therapy, psychotherapy, special education, social work, or sociology.

A privately insured vehicle, valid driver's license, and relevant checks are also required.
