Job Opportunity

A skilled metal fabricator and welder is required to join our team in a casual capacity, with the potential for permanent employment after 6 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding products using Tig & MIG welding techniques in a manufacturing environment.
  • They will also be required to select, clean and prepare metal from stock.
  • Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines is an essential task.
  • Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, including bolting, is a critical component of the role.
  • Examining welds for width, penetration and precision is a key responsibility.
  • Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiseling and grinding is also a requirement.
Requirements
  • Tig & MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Some experience in stainless steel and aluminum welding is highly desirable.
  • Welding certification or relevant experience is required.
  • A current driver's license and reliable transport are necessary.
  • Ability to work in a team environment is crucial.
  • Motivated, reliable and a commitment to high-quality workmanship are essential traits.
  • A strong safety-focused work ethic is also required.
  • Boilermaking experience is highly desirable.
