Asset Strategy Director

AusNet Services is seeking an experienced Asset Strategy Director to join our team in Southbank, Melbourne. This exciting new opportunity will place you at the forefront of a growing business, allowing you to carve your own path to success.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in directing and overseeing asset management strategy activities for our contestable asset portfolio that is projected to triple in value over the next 5 years.
You will work closely with the Manager, Asset Management, to build a new high-performing team to lead the transformation of AusNet's capabilities to effectively manage risks associated with growth opportunities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining fit-for-purpose Asset Management Systems for contestable assets, developing asset management strategies and plans, developing asset investment pipeline, and ensuring integration of our asset management system across enterprise frameworks and processes.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of asset management within AusNet Services, working on a hybrid split (Office/WFH) basis, and is part of the Asset Management Team.
With a strong track record in asset management, experience in change management, and people management skills, you will be well-equipped to drive continuous improvement to increase efficiencies and support strategic growth objectives.
You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of experience in asset management, tertiary qualification in engineering, ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and peers, experience in operation and maintenance of electricity assets, and experience in the energy industry or utilities sector.
