About the Role
The Director, Centre for Excellence in Early Childhood Quality and Transitions is a senior leadership position responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team focused on designing and delivering initiatives, tools, and resources to support early childhood practice excellence, learning frameworks, and assessment.
The Centre for Excellence is an investment by the Department to support improvements across the early childhood education and care system. The successful candidate will have extensive senior leadership experience within the early years education sector, with credibility with educators, teaching professionals, and the ability to inform service design and policy decisions with a focus on quality uplifts, pedagogy, and practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a dynamic, collaborative team delivering universal access to quality, affordable preschool for all children in NSW.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve early childhood education and care services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team to achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership with deep understanding of the early childhood education and care service system, practice quality, and capability uplift.
- Significant experience in strategic planning, change management, delivery for impact, and people leadership.
- Proven ability to communicate with significant influence, establish positive stakeholder relationships at all levels, and negotiate competing priorities.
- Proven leadership in a range of demanding and influential roles.
- Highly developed organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
What We Offer
- Ongoing Public Service Senior Executive Band 1 role with a Total Remuneration Package of $217,997 - $242,100 per annum.
- Based in Parramatta with flexible work options.
