
Gameplay Expert

We are seeking an experienced engineer to develop, design, modify, optimize, and debug physics or animation pipeline and engine systems. As a key member of our Gameplay Team, you will communicate features and collaborate with engineering, design, art, and production teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, physics, or mathematics, with experience working with modern CPU performance analysis tools and a solid understanding of C/C++. You will be responsible for participating in the design, performance, and code review process, as well as contributing to the design and roadmap of our industry-leading AAA engine.
In this role, you will work closely with animators and other engineers to design, prototype, and implement new features that improve character fidelity and believability at increasing scale and complexity. You will also develop and upgrade workflows to enable efficient building, improvement, and debugging of animation behaviors by animators and engineers alike.
Bonus points for experience with game physics middleware APIs, parallel programming, and multi-threaded code. If you have expertise in rigid-body dynamics, collision detection, contact/collision resolution, rag-doll technologies, IK systems, or vehicle physics simulation, we'd love to hear about it
Responsibilities:- Develop, design, modify, optimize, and debug physics or animation pipeline and engine systems

- Participate in the design, performance, and code review process
- Contribute to the design and roadmap of our industry-leading AAA engine
- Design, prototype, and implement new features to improve character fidelity and believability
- Develop and upgrade workflows to enable efficient building, improvement, and debugging of animation behaviors
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
- Strong background in C/C++ and experience working with modern CPU performance analysis tools
- Solid understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and algorithms
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for code and data optimization
- Experience with game physics middleware APIs (Havok, PhysX, etc.)
- Background with parallel programming and multi-threaded code
- Expertise in rigid-body dynamics, collision detection, contact/collision resolution
- Rag-doll technologies and IK systems
- Vehicle physics simulation
