The role of a Mental Health Clinician is pivotal in delivering initial triage responses to referrals for children and young people aged 0-18 years with or at risk of serious mental illness.
This challenging yet rewarding position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
About the RoleAs a key member of our mental health team, you will have the opportunity to work in partnership with children and young people, carers, and primary care providers to deliver an initial triage response.
- Responsibilities include responding to referrals via a single point of contact, working within an extended hours service (8.00am to 8.30pm) 7 days a week.
To be successful in this role, you will require strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
- Required qualifications include a relevant degree in a field such as psychology, social work, or nursing.
- A sound understanding of child and adolescent mental health principles is essential.
