About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Public Domain Assets Specialist to join our team. As an integral member of our Public Domain & Works Team, you will play a key role in resolving customer needs related to civil works associated with property development, public utility works, and general enquiries within the public domain.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Inspection and Compliance: Carry out inspections for Public Domain approved permits, including vehicular footway crossing and footpaving construction, Stormwater construction, road pavement, and kerb and gutter construction.
  2. Liaison and Communication: Liaise with applicants, builders, developers, private certifiers, ratepayers, Public Utility Authorities, Government agencies, and others as required.
  3. Program Development and Implementation: Contribute to the development and implementation of Council's Delivery Program, Operational Plan, and Unit Plan.
  4. Expert Advice: Provide expert advice to the community, staff, and Council on relevant policies, guidelines, and standard drawings for related assets and services.
  5. Customer Requests: Investigate and respond to customer requests, making recommendations to the Team Leader for consideration in the Rolling Capital Works Program.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Local Council Experience: Experience in Local Council desirable.
  • Driver's License: Class C Driver's license required.
  • Techincal Qualification: Relevant Technical or Trade qualification necessary.
