Director of Technology Innovation

As a technology leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of software solutions that meet our strategic objectives. This role involves guiding, supporting, and enabling engineering teams to deliver high-quality applications and integrations.

You will lead cross-functional teams across frontend, backend, and DevOps, ensuring the delivery of scalable and efficient solutions that power our key workstreams:

  • Student Experience & Support
  • Teaching & Learning
  • Digital Workforce

Your responsibilities include setting technical direction, unblocking and enabling delivery, driving improvement, building capability, and partnering with stakeholders. You will be responsible for defining architecture, championing best practices, and aligning with enterprise goals.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience as a hands-on technology leader with expertise across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and security. You will have proven success leading cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments and delivering large-scale software solutions. Strong ability to identify inefficiencies, solve delivery blockers, and optimise development practices is essential.

You will have the opportunity to build capability by mentoring engineers, growing talent, and fostering a high-performance culture. You will also partner closely with Product, Architecture, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that matter.
