Pilecom is a values-driven, family-owned business at the forefront of Australia's burgeoning renewable energy construction sector. With offices in Sydney and Perth, we specialise in mechanical installation for utility-scale solar farms, including piling, tracker system and module install.

Now eight years into our renewable energy journey, we have experienced rapid growth, scaling up to deliver multiple 100MW+ solar projects simultaneously.

Our team of 200–250 specialists work across Australia, supporting developers, EPCs and mining clients. Our reputation is built on the exceptional quality of our builds, our commitment to safety and our strong family culture.

As our external operations flourish, we are turning inward to strengthen the systems, processes and digital infrastructure needed to support our next phase of controlled, high-quality growth.

We are seeking a forward-thinking Non-Executive Director to join our Board of our Founder and Directors (sons of the founder), to guide us through this exciting stage of organisational maturity, with a focus on technology integration, systems optimisation and digital strategy.

Why This Role Matters Now

The last five years have seen exponential growth across our projects and workforce. As we shift into a phase of consolidation and smart scaling, we recognise the need for a digital and operational transformation that matches the calibre of our on-the-ground delivery.

This role is about helping us connect secure systems, streamline operations and reduce cross functional friction or knowledge gaps. We're seeking to improve API integrations, automate current manual processes, and ensure our use of HR, HSE and project management platforms is strategic and scalable.

Key Contributions

As a Non-Executive Director, you will:

  • Provide strategic insight into IT and systems integration opportunities across construction, engineering, and renewables.
  • Help assess our current digital environment and shape a future-fit technology roadmap.
  • Offer governance-level thinking through an operational lens.
  • Bring your experience in scaling operations, preferably in high-growth or contracting environments.

About You

We're looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience as a CEO, Director, or Senior Executive with strategic technology oversight.
  • Board experience or strong governance awareness in either listed or private organisations.
  • A background in construction, infrastructure, or project-based industries.
  • Comfort working with a hands-on, values-led Board in a business moving from family-led to emerging corporate.

Board Commitment & Remuneration

  • Initial commitment: 20-40 hours per month
  • Location: Sydney or Perth office, with remote flexibility
  • Remuneration: $40,000–$65,000 per annum, based on experience
  • Desired start: September 2025
