About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Technical Resources. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing discipline-specific engineering services, including design, review, and technical evaluation of mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Prepare detailed design deliverables, including datasheets, specifications, and technical bid evaluations.
  • Review and Evaluation: Review mechanical vendor data and drawings, and ensure the project scope is clear and identify changes to scope as required.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively within the discipline team, with clients, and other project stakeholders, and make presentations as required.
  • Technical Evaluation: Technically evaluate vendor equipment supply proposals and identify issues and problems, developing appropriate and innovative solutions.
  • Professional Development: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in the discipline, and participate in relevant meetings and follow required checking procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognized university, with relevant experience.
  • Registration: Registered as a Mechanical Engineer with Engineers Australia.
  • Skills and Experience: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience with pressure equipment design standards, and technical and practical experience in the Mechanical & Piping disciplines.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate behavior and business practices commensurate with a culture of world's best health, safety, and environmental performance, and minimize the potential impact of work activities on the environment.
