About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Finance Analyst to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in driving financial and operational improvements, supporting key projects, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while managing potential risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries and financial reconciliations
  • Monitor and control plant costs, driving daily improvements in efficiency and productivity
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying and eliminating waste, providing financial validation, tracking, and reporting
  • Assist in preparing and submitting Capital Expenditure Requests, including financial justifications
  • Maintain and update the weekly/monthly Assets Under Construction register, attend project meetings, gather updates from project managers, and prepare related reports and forecasts
  • Ensure robust fixed asset controls are in place, including execution of the annual fixed asset count, assessment of asset life and impairment risks, and compliance with asset disposal procedures
  • Partner with the Regional Reliability Manager and Maintenance and Stores team to identify risks related to spare parts obsolescence, communicate potential financial impacts, and ensure compliance with procedures to minimize write-offs
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and adherence to internal control policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the annual planning and budgeting processes, including the update of standard costs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience, preferably in operational finance roles in manufacturing, supply chain or related environment
  • CPA/CA equivalent or working towards
  • System proficiency: SAP or any ERP, advanced Excel skills and Office 365 suite
  • In-depth knowledge of Management Accounting, Reporting and Budgeting
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a solid understanding of financial analysis methodologies and procedures
  • Skilled in engaging and influencing cross-functional teams to manage and deliver project outcomes
  • Results-oriented to deliver in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
