This is a fixed-term opportunity to support the Vegetation Management Program in the North West Region. The program aims to reduce bushfire risk by managing vegetation and enhancing fire prevention knowledge.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating resources for planned burns to achieve fuel management goals.
  • Communicating and collaborating with staff, brigades, and other agencies for planned burning activities.
  • Liaising with external partners to facilitate resource allocation for mutual goals.
  • Supporting fuel management training by coordinating information collection.
  • Promoting cross-tenure, strategic roadside, and community-led planned burning with a risk-based approach.
  • Collecting and maintaining reporting data for planned burning and other treatment works.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to establish productive relationships.

You should be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, and able to maintain database programs.
