The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for providing strategic, timely, and accurate advice on financial and budget matters to the Chief Executive and other stakeholders.

They will ensure that WACHS' financial management processes are congruent with the whole-of-health governance framework, meet all compliance and accountability requirements, and provide a robust basis for decisions about resource allocation to meet planned service and business outcomes.

The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is a large country health system in Australia, providing health services to approximately half a million people across a vast area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services, and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial reform and business improvement strategies
  • Provide financial advice to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in finance or related field
  • Proven experience in financial management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
