Leader of Diverse Learning
Job DescriptionSeeking a passionate educator to lead our Learning Diversity Department in delivering innovative and engaging learning opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Learning Diversity Team and ensuring the needs of diverse learners are met.
The role involves working closely with staff, students, parents and external agencies to implement strategies that enhance participation, access and engagement in learning for all students. This includes developing and implementing effective learning programs that meet the needs of students with diverse learning requirements.
As a leader, you will provide guidance and support to staff in delivering contemporary and effective learning opportunities that align with the College's Strategic Plan. You will also work closely with the Deputy Principal Learning and Teaching to maintain an unrelenting focus on learning across the College.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Demonstrated capacity for proactive educational leadership of students with diverse learning needs
- Highly developed skills in leading staff in continuous improvement in learning and teaching, particularly for students with diverse learning needs
- Commitment to Catholic Education and understanding of charism and spiritual tradition in the life of an order-owned Catholic school
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary educational research, issues, trends, practices and policies
- Interpersonal and communication skills including ability to develop productive relationships and communicate effectively with students, staff and parents regarding student needs
- Ability to show tact, respect and discretion in dealing with individuals and groups and ensure confidentiality of information as appropriate
