Senior Credit Analyst Role
">- Evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants for commercial loan applications by analyzing their financial information and assessing the risk associated with lending to them.
- Assess financial statements, identify potential risks, and calculate industry and credit risk to provide a comprehensive understanding of the applicant's creditworthiness.
- Presentation of deals to the Credit Committee, providing a clear and concise overview of the risk and associated mitigants in each transaction.
- Conduct credit calls with clients and stakeholders to collect additional information and clarify any concerns they may have.
- Liaise with senior members in other areas of the business to discuss scenarios and appeals, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned.
- Coordinate the underwriting of commercial loan applications in the 'Prospa Plus/Full Doc' segment, ensuring timely and accurate completion of the application process.
- Analyze bank statements for low-doc up to $250 K, identifying any discrepancies or potential risks.
- Provide in-depth detailed analysis of financial statements and calculate industry and credit risk to support informed lending decisions.
- Present deals to the Credit Committee with a comprehensive understanding of the risk and associated mitigants in each transaction.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as an underwriter or credit analyst is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is desirable but not necessary.
- Previous experience holding a delegated lending authority is essential.
As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will work closely with a team of professionals who share your passion for supporting small businesses. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants, assess financial statements, and calculate industry and credit risk. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
