As a leading healthcare provider, we are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Coding and Casemix Services team.

  • We offer a fixed term position with 80 hours per fortnight working as a Health Information Manager Grade 5 at The Alfred.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, organisational abilities and extensive knowledge of clinical coding systems.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to drive success within the team and maximise performance by undertaking accurate, comprehensive and timely clinical coding across the organisation.

The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, prioritising and managing workloads, interpreting and analysing clinical data, and maintaining an effective and efficient Coding and Casemix service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To provide leadership and direction to the Coding and Casemix Services team.
  2. To ensure accurate, comprehensive and timely clinical coding across the organisation.
  3. To maintain an effective and efficient Coding and Casemix service.
  4. To interpret and analyse clinical data to inform decision making.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor of Health Information Management or Master of Health Information Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of clinical coding systems.
  • Skills in interpretation and analysis of clinical data.
