Regulatory Compliance Manager

  • This role involves leading the development and enhancement of comprehensive incident and breach management frameworks, policies and processes.
  • Key responsibilities include undertaking compliance assessments of compliance incidents to support the regulatory breach assessment processes and presenting compliance assessments to relevant stakeholders and forums as required.
  • The selected individual will also be responsible for assisting in the provision of compliance advice, insights, themes, trends to key stakeholders including boards, committees and other forums in relation to incidents and breaches.
  • Preparation of reporting to regulators in respect of investigations, breaches and responding to regulatory requests for information is another key responsibility of this role.

What you need to have:

  • A seasoned compliance or legal professional with proven leadership exposure in regulatory compliance, incident and breach management within a similar industry would be ideal.
  • Experience working in or providing services to a regulated financial services organisation, with a strong understanding of regulatory obligations in particular superannuation, investments, administration, advice and insurance broking is necessary.
  • Ability to rapidly analyse and communicate complex matters in a commercially sensible way is essential.
  • Providing strategic advice to senior stakeholders on compliance incidents is also a key requirement of this role.
