About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Mackay, Australia.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and dedicated Mechanical Fitter to work on a 7/7 day shift roster. As a Mechanical Fitter at Komatsu Australia, you will be responsible for completing repair and overhaul of Komatsu machinery, ensuring compliance with our optimum quality standard on a large range of machines including utility, construction, and mining equipment.

This role includes overhauling large components of machinery while adhering to SWP installation guides and customer requirements.

Requirements
  • Mechanical Fitter/Heavy Vehicle Trade Qualifications: 3+ years of trade experience required.
  • Prior Experience: Exposure to workshop overhauls and mining machinery essential.
  • OEM Experience: Desired but not necessary.
  • Workplace Safety: Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety procedures crucial.
  • Transportation Skills: Doggers and Forklift license preferred.
  • Diagnostics and Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills required.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organisation skills and attention to detail necessary.
