Mechanical Maintenance Expert

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic and Mechanical Specialist to join our team at Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday role.
The key focus of this position is to provide technical support and direction to internal and site-based teams through mechanical services for Draglines and Electric Rope Shovels.
You will work collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels, providing status reports and on-site technical expertise to diagnose and repair advanced mechanical systems.
- Ensure mechanical audit inspections align with OEM specifications and make risk-based decisions accurately.
- Provide supervision support for customers' major outages and shutdowns.
- Assist with scope development, review, and coordination of customers' major asset mechanical component repairs & overhauls.

Your Background
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Demonstrated experience with mining maintenance activities on Draglines and Electric Rope Shovels
- Trade qualified Mechanical/Fitter or tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering desirable
- Proven ability in developing strategies, budgets, and workscopes for repairs & upgrades
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
