Job Title: Senior Practice Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practice Leader to join our Work and Road team in Brisbane. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Practice to achieve business-unit strategy and deliver operational, financial, client, and people targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Practice in developing and implementing business-unit strategy and delivering operational, financial, client, and people targets.
  • Lead and manage a team of lawyers and support staff to achieve high-quality client outcomes and care.
  • Develop and implement effective supervision and mentoring programs to support the growth and development of team members.
  • Collaborate with other practice leaders to identify process efficiencies and practice management improvements.
  • Support the Head of Practice in change management initiatives and ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Post-admission experience (8+ PAE) as a Personal Injury Lawyer (preferably in Work and Road).
  • Sound legal technical experience and a high level of expert and specialist knowledge within the defined practice area.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all levels of staff and demonstrate superior communication skills.
  • Prior experience leading and motivating legal professionals and taking a systematic and structured approach to work.
  • Ability to show initiative and a team player.
