Job Title: Senior Practice Leader

Slater and Gordon Lawyers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practice Leader to join our Work and Road team in Brisbane. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Practice in achieving business-unit strategy and delivering operational, financial, client, and people targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Practice in developing and implementing business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Lead and manage a team of lawyers and support staff to deliver high-quality legal services to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to drive business development and growth.
  • Manage complex files and client matters, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior lawyers and staff to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Contribute to the development of practice group strategies and initiatives to drive business growth and profitability.
Requirements:
  • Post-admission experience (8+ PAE) as a Personal Injury Lawyer, preferably in Work and Road.
  • Sound legal technical experience and expertise in Personal Injury law.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and motivating legal professionals.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all levels of staff, including clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Sound technical and functional skills to support others, including case management and file management.
