Job Summary

A Laboratory Assistant plays a vital role in our team, contributing to the smooth operation of our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to telephone enquiries and written requests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Sorting and distributing all samples as they arrive into the laboratory and filing request forms with attention to detail
  • Entering specimens and request details into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) with accuracy and efficiency
  • Receiving and storing laboratory consumables in a timely and organized manner
About You

We are looking for someone who is a team player, with excellent communication skills and a keen interest in performing administrative tasks efficiently and with great attention to detail.

Requirements include:

  • Strong data entry skills, and a great phone manner
  • Great organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines
  • The ability to work collaboratively with your team, and build good working relationships across all levels of the organisation
