Employment Consultant Role

We are seeking highly skilled Employment Consultants to support participants with mental health conditions into meaningful employment. As an Employment Consultant, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of participants and providing tailored support to empower them to achieve their employment goals.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in Employment Services or a related field, as well as experience in employment services, mental health support, or disability services. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with participants and employers are essential.

Beneath this role lies a complex network of partnerships between local employers, NDIS providers, and community organizations. You will work collaboratively to create inclusive job opportunities and provide wrap-around supports for participants' wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver individualized support using the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Model.
  • Support participants through every step of their journey: vocational profiling, job search, resume and interview preparation, placement, post-placement support and ongoing support.
  • Strive to exceed individual and team performance targets, delivering sustainable employment outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with local employers to foster inclusive job opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Certificate III or higher qualification in Employment Services or a related field.
  • Experience in employment services, mental health support, or disability services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain all required clearances.
