Job Opportunity: Sexual Health Medicine Registrar

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Sexual Health Medicine Registrar in our team.

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced staff specialists to achieve a range of competencies for Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine sexual health physician training.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical and public health management for sexually transmitted and blood-borne virus infections in Clinic 34s under the supervision and direction of staff specialists.
  • Contribute to public health responses to incidents such as outbreak investigation and management, and emergency management.
  • Engage in activities relating to media, public messaging/alerts, and teaching and applying research to practice.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and service delivery in accordance with defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role-modelling behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Medical Practitioner eligible for general or conditional registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Advanced trainee of AChSHM or qualifications and experience suitable for acceptance as an advanced trainee of the AChSHM.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a range of health professionals in hospital and community-based settings.
  • Experience in sexual health medicine and proven ability to demonstrate clinical and operational skills in the field.
