Early Childhood Coordinator

About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood professional to join our team as a Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the NDIS early childhood approach at a local level.

Key Responsibilities

  • SUPPORT CHILDREN AND FAMILIES THROUGH A CHILD AND FAMILY-CENTRED APPROACH, ENSURING CHILDREN RECEIVE THE APPROPRIATE INTERVENTIONS BASED ON BEST PRACTICE EVIDENCE.

  • USE YOUR DIPLOMA OR HIGHER QUALIFICATIONS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD, ALLIED HEALTH, SOCIAL WORK, OR A RELATED FIELD TO SUPPORT EVIDENCE-BASED DECISION-MAKING.

  • COMPLETE FUNCTIONAL ASSESSMENTS FOR CHILDREN WITH DEVELOPMENTAL CONCERNS OR DISABILITIES, DETERMINING THEIR NEEDS AND ENSURING TIMELY REFERRALS TO APPROPRIATE SUPPORT PATHWAYS.

  • CONNECT FAMILIES TO COMMUNITY SERVICES AND MAINSTREAM PROGRAMS TO ENHANCE THEIR SOCIAL PARTICIPATION AND ACCESS TO ESSENTIAL SERVICES.

  • GUIDE FAMILIES THROUGH NDIS PLAN REASSESSMENTS, GATHERING EVIDENCE, ASSISTING WITH GOAL DEVELOPMENT, AND ENSURING THE RIGHT SUPPORT IS IN PLACE.

  • UTILISE THE NDIS PLAN TO SUPPORT CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH IMPROVED CHOICE, CONTROL, SOCIAL PARTICIPATION, AND OVERALL QUALITY OF LIFE.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or higher qualifications in Early Childhood, Allied Health, Social Work, or a related field.
