Job Description

The role of the Academic Development Expert is to provide high-quality teaching and learning in the classroom. This involves delivering demonstration lessons that model exemplary classroom practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To model high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice and teach demonstration lessons.
  • To work with school leadership to develop a shared view of highly effective teacher practice.
  • To lead and model the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
  • To play a key role in providing professional learning through processes and protocols for observation and feedback of teacher practice and peer collaboration.
