Job Overview

Bis, a leading provider of underground hire equipment and diesel services, seeks an experienced Workshop Trades Assistant to join its Paget Workshop team in QLD.

The successful candidate will assist our Mechanical Tradespersons with repairs and maintenance on various underground mobile plant, including loaders and haulage equipment, while also operating forklifts as part of daily responsibilities.

About the Role

  • Assist with repairs and maintenance on underground mobile plant, including loaders and haulage equipment.
  • Operate forklifts as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Support large-scale workshop operations, gaining hands-on experience with heavy machinery.
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment by following safety protocols and supporting team initiatives.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Trades Assistant, preferably with underground, mining or civil equipment and diesel engines.
  • High-Risk Work License - LF Ticket.
  • Ability to follow directions from senior tradespersons and a proactive approach to safety.
  • Strong work ethic, team spirit, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
