Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Farm Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day functioning of our farm. This position involves managing farm activities, livestock, and pasture management while ensuring high standards of animal welfare, machinery upkeep, and operational efficiency.

Key Tasks
  • Oversee farm operations, ensuring smooth functioning and identifying areas for improvement
  • Implement effective grazing management practices to optimize pasture quality
  • Manage and monitor the feeding, health, and general care of livestock
  • Maintain and monitor electronic dairy systems, ensuring accurate data management and system functionality
  • Collaborate with senior management to monitor progress, provide updates, and communicate any operational concerns
  • Perform routine farm maintenance and adhere to machinery upkeep schedules to ensure all equipment is running efficiently
Required Skills & Qualifications

Previous farm management or relevant farming experience is essential. A strong understanding of pasture management, grazing techniques, and livestock care is required. Solid knowledge of electronic dairy systems and data management is also necessary. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of farm machinery and maintenance schedules, as well as the ability to work well within a team and independently when required.

  • Large herd experience preferred but willing to train the suitable candidate
  • Strong understanding of pasture management, grazing techniques, and livestock care
  • Solid understanding of electronic dairy systems and data management
  • Good knowledge of farm machinery and maintenance schedules

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment. A strong passion for farming and working outdoors is essential.
