Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Farm Operations Coordinator to join our team in Warrnambool, Victoria. This position involves coordinating farm activities, livestock, and pasture management while ensuring high standards of animal welfare, machinery upkeep, and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in monitoring and reporting on farm operations, working closely with the farm manager.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Farm Manager in overseeing farm operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning
  • Implement effective grazing management practices to optimize pasture and feed quality
  • Manage and monitor the feeding, health, and general care of livestock
  • Maintain and monitor electronic dairy systems, ensuring accurate data management and system functionality
  • Collaborate with the Farm Manager to monitor progress, provide updates, and communicate any operational concerns
  • Perform routine farm maintenance and adhere to machinery upkeep schedules to ensure all equipment is running efficiently
  • Be part of a team environment and contribute to a positive & productive workplace
  • Participate in both on-site and off-site training to enhance your skills and industry knowledge

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous farm management or relevant farming experience is recommended
  • Large herd experience preferred however willing to train the suitable candidate
  • Strong understanding of pasture management, grazing techniques, and livestock care
  • Solid understanding of electronic dairy systems and data management
  • Good knowledge of farm machinery and maintenance schedules
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and take initiative
  • A strong passion for farming and working outdoors
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work a split-shift roster
