**Job Overview:**

The role of Head of Tax requires a seasoned tax professional to drive and lead the tax function for an organisation across Australia and support expansion into Asia Pacific. The successful candidate will have a strong commercial lens and be passionate about driving strategic outcomes for their organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee timely and accurate tax compliance for the Australian and wider region.
  • Ensure integrity of tax filings & reporting, direct and indirect taxes across the Group.
  • Represent the organisation to the ATO for audits, appeals and negotiations.
  • Formulate, implement and maintain tax procedures and policies across APAC.
  • Employ and manage relationships with external tax professionals.
  • Provide strategic tax advice to the business in relation to M&A.
  • Transfer pricing compliance, documentation and advice on internal cross border transactions.

Continuous Process Improvement and Financial Governance:

  • Lead process excellence through the design and implementation of appropriate systems and controls over key financial & tax processes.
  • Deliver ongoing efficiency gains from automation and/or system improvements.

Candidate Profile:

You are an experienced corporate Tax professional with extensive experience in managing an end-to-end tax function within a large APAC ASX business. You have a strong communication skill set and a continuous improvement mindset.
